As our platforms we interact with continue to grow, our needs to connect to those platforms also grow. But it is becoming more and more difficult to have to log into each one to submit status. I was online this AM and saw a post from a friend @troyturner asking if there was a way to post to both Twitter and Pownce at the same time. As I noted in an earlier post as well, Twitter has been very unreliable and people are looking to new ways to keep in touch and status their friends and followers.
Enter hellotxt.com. It is a great service that llows to to interface with twitter, pownce, facebook, jaiku, tumblr, as well as some others. Here is a shot of your dashboard to send messages from:
I have tested it and it seems to work great. Just type your message and select where you want it sent to and viola ! You can registered an account and it will keep your account info saved for easier use. They have a timeline as well, but form what I can see, it is only your Twitter timeline. It would be great if this timeline could include all the services as well.

Новый способ “наказать” тех, кто посмел участвовать в выборной кампании не на стороне действующей власти изобрели правоохранительные органы г.о. Химки.
Руководствуясь не нормой закона, а чьей-то “волей” сотрудники милиции решили “проверить” все фирмы, внесшие денежные средства в избирательный фонд неудобных кандидатов.
Начались “проверки” с телефонных звонков – где директор, сколько человек работает на фирме. После чего последовали “письма счастья” с просьбой предоставить всю бухгалтерскую документацию, учредительные документы фирмы, и даже, план экспликации БТИ.
Такие запросы химкинским фирмам рассылает 1 отдел Оперативно-розыскной части № 9 Управления по налоговым преступлениям ГУВД Московской области за подписью начальника подполковника милиции Д.В. Языкова.
И всё это в то время, когда Президент дал прямое указание правоохранительным органам о прекращении всех незаконных проверок малого и среднего бизнеса. С это целью внесены изменения в Федеральный закон “О милиции” – из статьи 11 этого закона исключены пункты 25 и 35, на основании которых ранее правоохранительные органы имели право проверять финансово-хозяйственную деятельность предприятий.
Видно, об изменениях действующего законодательства местные правоохранительные органы не уведомлены. И не смотрят телепередачи с выступлениями Президента.
Может быть, эта публикация подвигнет их к исполнению указаний Президента, а также к изучению и соблюдению действующего законодательства
So what is the College Assessment Level Program? it’s a program by the College Board which allows students to get college credit at many major universities including Yale and Evergreen State College. There are exams in dozens of subjects including Human Relations and Accounting.
Having taken many of the examinations for myself, I can attest to their validity as a great program to get low cost credits. Read a textbook on the subject; I myself read a text on Psychology. The next step is to apply for an examination through a testing center. Check the College Board website to search for testing centers in your area. Depending on the location you live around there may be up to a dozen various testing centers. Each exam costs $55 but there is often an additional charge stipulated by the examination center which very often varies in price.
At the examination center, you’ll have to check in with the program manager. You will be brought into a room with computers which run proprietary software. The examinations are all done on computer and offer participants unexcelled flexibility in taking the test. One can go back to questions, mark them to review, skip questions, see how many questions one has reminding or any number of other operations. The computer software also make available a graphing calculator should you be taking a math test.
One of the country’ leading colleges which accepts testing credits is the Monterey Polytechnic Institute. Monterey Polytechnic is a private institute in Monterey Bay, CA which offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees specializing in Business Management, Professional Development, Public Adminsitration, Human Relations, and a number of other majors in the arts and sciences. Work experience degree programs are also available. Monterey Polytechnic’s flexible schedule of lecture and correspondence courses is uniquely suited for working adults. Monterey Polytechnic Institute is known as one of the most respected, high ranking, and affordable universities in the nation.
So, should you try it? If you are currently a senior striving to finish up degree requirements, if you’re knowledgeable in a field of study and want recognition for it, or if you simply want to scoop the absurd costs imposed by colleges then CLEP is for you. It is very cheap, usually $60 for the test and an admin charge which is almost always under $25. It’s definitely a great way to earn college credit based on what you already know without sitting through an college course for a year. If you take biology in High School, for instance, there is no corresponding AP, but for college credit, consider taking the CLEP. It is one day of your life and merely 90 minutes in length. In addition, you’ll find out if you pass immediately. Typically a score of over 50 is good enough for credit for most colleges. You should check with your university for more information.
