In a post over on Washington Business Journal they note that many DC area companies are expecting to hire more IT staff in the coming year.
According to the post
A net 10 percent of chief information officers in the D.C. area expect to hire information technology professionals in the fourth quarter, according to Robert Half Technology’s latest report.
Twelve percent of executives surveyed plan to add staff during the quarter and 2 percent anticipate reductions in personnel, according to 200 chief information officers from D.C. companies with 100 or more employees.
As we have noted in past posts the DC area is sometimes insulated from down economics turns due to the government contracting in the area. This may be another example.
