Last year Launchbox Digital came on the scene in the DC area and put on their ‘08 Startup incubator program similar to the Y Combinator program in the Boston area. There program was a great addition to the area and mny of the companies that participated have gone on to receive funding and do great things.

I was fortunate enough to attend the East coast demo day last year and was very impressed. Sean Greene, one of LaucnhBox founders, has done a great job here in the local community and recently has even had time to laucnh a great new restaurant rating site Thummit.
So if you are a local group that has an idea but does not necessarily have the expertise to get it going or just need a little help and direction make sure to send in your application for review. you really have nothing to lose and if chosen you will have an incredible opportunity in front of you.
